Portal Campaign - Pictures in the Temple - WIP

So previously there was Temple of the God Who Is

Where mention was made of seven pictures . . .

There are seven pictures on the walls around the statue these hold the clues to the words of power that will activate the statue . . .

1: A mosaic made mostly from various shades of red tesserae - The God is depicted with all his limbs and features intact and the reddish-brown skin and hair of a human. They are standing behind a shield of blue light as silver-skinned inhuman warriors hurl javelins of red light at them.

2: This picture is painted directly onto the wall. It is bright and vibrant it looks like the paint is still wet. Various shades of orange are the predominate colours - It depicts the God, now without any legs, locked in an amorous embrace with a man and a woman who both have ruby red skin and no hair.

3: Although this is an interior wall the third picture is a stained glass window seemingly illuminated by bright sunlight. Most of the glass is stained yellow and depicts the God now without his arms, floating in front of a sun, before him various different human-like creatures bow down.

4: A small canvas hangs on the wall painted in various shades of green watercolours. It shows the God now with his eyes stitched closed surrounded by a family of humans dressed in hooded green robes. The mother sits with the God’s head cradled in her lap, the father, and the two children kneel by them. They have all placed a hand, one on top of the other, on the Gods chest.

5: Appears to be a black mirror embed in the wall. If anyone stands in front of it flickers into life showing blue-tinged images of the God, now with his mouth stitched closed, floating past rows of silent people.  As he passes the people begin to talk animatedly to each other, sing, dance, sculpt, paint, play instruments. As he reaches the end of the long line of people his skin turns an ethereal shade of light blue and the picture fades back to black. It will restart every-time someone new stands in front of it. Anyone who has seen it once will see nothing but their own reflection in the black mirror, but they will hear faint and distant music

6: This is picture looks to be the result of a strange glowing fungus of different hues of neon purples that are growing on the wall. It depicts the God looking out at the world. If anyone looks at it for more than a few seconds a third eye opens up in the God’s forehead, stares at the viewer for a moment, and spits out a single purple mushroom. It will do this to anyone that looks at it.

7: This picture is a blank section of wall that glows a brilliant pure white. Anyone who stares at it sees an image of this very room, and the Statue of the God Who Is. There are worshippers in white robes all kneeling, foreheads, touching the ground,  all around the statue filling the room. One woman steps in front of the statue, bows, speaks a word and reaches out to touch the crown of the God’s head. When she touches it a halo of white light pulses around the God’s head and then there is a flash of blinding white light, so bright that once again the picture looks like a blank white wall again, but gradually the white light fades away revealing the temple scene and the statue again. Scattered all around it are empty white robes.

This scene will stop playing out if the person viewing it stops concentrating on it. If so the vision will begin again from the start. Anyone who watches it all the way through will instead always see it as a picture of the statue and scattered robes.
