Now that Wulfwald is out and in the world, I'm in that weird in-between place with nothing going on.

My game group has drifted away either geographically or lost in the overwhelming tsunami of commitments that come with families, careers, and general adult stuff. I should dip my toe into the world of online GMing, but I don't dig the map and minis style of VTT play. Not really keen on using video and have never really run face to face with strangers either. I don’t feel confident about running a game for peeps who aren’t already friends. Not sure if that’s common, or just me. I’m pretty introverted. Maybe back to Play by Post for future play testing?

Not sure what to work on, either. I've started projects that have stalled for various reasons.

The Sumerian Sandbox because I wanted to do more research so I can do the setting justice. I've yet to read the Epic of Gilgamesh. Which should be a bare minimum for any such project. That said, I like the crazy over the top OSE classes I'd posted here.

I'm keen on the Into the Wizards War Wastelands Hexploitation concept. I’ve also mentioned it here and started working on it, but it needs a publisher willing to take on an enormous commitment, as it’s big. It’s also planned to be one of three interconnected settings, which includes the Sumerian Sandbox, and a third setting that is a quest and Prog-rock inspired fantasy setting. So if any publisher wants to take a punt on three stupidly ambitious, wild, interconnected, gonzo wilderness campaigns, let me know.

I also never finished my D23 project, but I liked what I had, so may look at that again. I also have a good chunk of quick and simple FKR rule-set I should look at again, and a campaign based around portals and reintroducing a lost religion. Not to mention notebooks full of handwritten ideas for a new music based magic system, an OSE setting based on British Sci-Fi like 2000AD, Blake’s 7, Zardoz, Gerry Anderson, etc.

Finally I have this nagging idea for an OSE setting where the seven basic classes are all warriors who are grunts in a wizard war. So there’s all these god-like wizards summoning demons, raining down hellfire, and eldritch lighting on the battlefield, and all you’ve got is a leather armour and a spear. Fun times. That’s called Warriors of the Wizard War.

Oh, and yeah, one more. I figure I might do a retro-clone of 5th edition T&T as I don’t like the sound of the new Rebellion version.

Mind you, this post is the longest thing I’ve written since Wulfwald dropped, so I better pull my finger out.
